20 Ways to Be Happier Right Now
There’s no magic formula for making your life all sunshine and rainbows, but there are a lot of ways to feel at least a little bit happier right now.
How to be Happier Right Now:
- Go for a walk
- Take a hot bath
- Drink some hot tea
- Get some exercise
- Call your mom
- Call your best friend
- Take a nap
- Eat that donut, cupcake, slice of pizza you’ve been craving
- Buy yourself something on Amazon
- Light a fall-scented candle (sure, even if it’s not fall)
- Hug your dog (unless your dog is like mine and is a giant who will physically injure you every time he gets near you)
- Read your favorite book
- Watch your favorite movie (even if you’ve seen it a thousand times)
- Start a craft project
- Plan a trip
- Start a gratitude journal
- Pray
- Let go of things you can’t control
- Forgive someone who hasn’t apologized
- Put on some makeup
- Get your nails done/ a massage/ something that makes you feel good
- Clean your house (less clutter = less stress)
- Play with your kids
- Do something that makes you laugh
- Do something you love
- Smile (seriously- just try it)
- Hug someone you love
Ok that’s more than 20… but sometimes we need reminders of how to take a deep breath, do something for yourself, and get back to being YOU- not mom you, not wife you, not work you. YOU.
